This advanced wheel-throwing class dives deep into the art of closed forms, where control, intention, and timing matter more than speed. We’ll focus on shaping enclosed vessels from the inside out, learning how to collar, trap volume, and move clay without collapsing the form. Expect demonstrations on proportion, wall compression, and strategic openings, along with guided practice to refine your touch and decision-making at the wheel.

This class is best suited for experienced potters who are ready to work independently and push their technical limits. You should be able to center and lift clay quickly and efficiently without instruction.
